Our lovely city just turned a big ole 150 this past week. I could ramble on and on about how much I love Denver and just how cool this city is, but I will leave that to the professionals. The Rocky Mountain News has put together some great information about significant Denver people and events. For example, they feature Golda Meir as one of Denver’s most influencial founders:
Second prime minister of Israel. Meir said she was inspired to help start the state of Israel while living as part of the Jewish community in Denver. Meir attended North High School. Her house still stands on the Auraria campus.
